A Hot Week - Playa De Morgan

Following some of the hottest temperatures in recent times in the UK, my little family decided to head out for some summer sun and jetted off to the Isle of Gran Canaria.

Puerto de Morgan is a quiet resort built around the quaint fishing village of Little Venice, a stunning cluster of small apartments that in my mind I imagine being a bustling hub of fishing families back in the day - who knows…….

Whilst in Gran Canaria we took the opportunity to explore the island’s volcanic landscape, heading up to the top of the Pico de las Nieves and standing at the top of this rugged peak at approximately 2000 m above sea level in 39 degrees C heat was an experience - fortunately there is a food/drink vendor just below the summit which was very welcomed (albeit pretty expensive).

On our exploration we managed to drop in to some beautiful little villages/towns that all had their own Canarian vibes.

All the below photographs included in the below gallery are straight out of camera (hence why some are not quite level). I wanted to use the camera and try to get it all right in the moment including the film simulation used - Kodachrome 64 which I think suited the warm weather and blue sky day feel I was seeing in real life.

This is the real value of using a fujifilm camera in my opinion. This wasn’t a photography 1st trip so I didn’t want to think about things that much, just grab the camera and shoot what I see that looks appealing.
