Funland - Hayling Island

South Coast, England, UK

In winter, hibernation goes beyond some animal species. There is a quiet that descends over coastal towns in the UK, making for a post apocalyptic feel to these places.

I spotted this fairground on google and figured I could get there before sunset on this particular day. I only had 20 minutes of light to explore but I managed to have a good look around Funland - which was the opposite of fun, it was gloomy, static and in need of repair and a good tidy up. The state of the place lent itself perfectly to the feel I wanted to portray within the shots, so no complaints from me. Who likes candy floss anyway

Kit used - Fujifilm XT5, 23 mm F2 fujinon lens
