Winter Seaside - Cleethorpes
Cleethorpes, North Lincolnshire, UK
As a tight Yorkshireman, I love a bargain and there are some great bargains to be had on the 1st weekend of the season for caravan holidays in the UK. So we picked Cleethorpes for our little family weekend away at the beginning of March 2026.
As with most of these breaks, this was a family-first trip and not a specific photography break so I took along the Fuji XT5 paired with the 23 mm F2 lens that I am really getting to like as my daily carry camera.
I had no objective for photography other than maybe I could see something that peaked my interest. So, whilst the wife and daughter headed to the arcades armed with kilograms of 2p coins to waste on the machines, I took the opportunity to take a stroll down the promenade and fire off a few shots. I decided this would be a rapid, documentary shoot to try and get a feel for the place. In my mind I had vintage feel to the edits as I was pressing the shutter button and this was the thinking behind the feel to the shots you will see within the gallery below.
Whilst this edit isn’t my usual style, I like how the shots came out and the feel is right as I imagined whilst walking along Cleethorpes seafront.
